Options to buy/replace broken fog lens - '86 951
Can I get some suggestions on where to buy/what to buy to replace the shattered fog lens (passenger) on my '86 951? What is available out there?
I've done some searching and I seem to find complete units at $300 or so (lens plus bulb and reflector. Is it possible to just buy a glass lens? Does anyone make them in plastic? They're pretty vulnerable down so low.
I'm willing to buy used. It's a U.S. model with frosted glass lens. I understand that there's a conversion to driving lights with a clear lens that some have made. Is it time to think about an upgrade?
I'd appreciate some information about my options. The lens is so shattered that there's a 1.5" hole in the lens and it looks like it's about to completely disintegrate into shards.
Thanks for any information.

With more research, I seem to find some replacement lenses in the $125-$150 range. The complete U.S. unit, with back reflector and lens seems to be around $350. The complete driving light unit (one side only) is closer to $450 - if I'm reading it right. I'd need two of those, plus bulbs, plus some rewiring and a switch, presumably. I suspect buying only the lens is going to be my solution, but I'd love to find something that's not as likely to shatter again. Those lenses are awfully close to the road and vulnerable.

You're bad at searching. I think partswarehouse has them for ~$130, and I get 10% off coupons all the damn time (annoying). So I got a complete, bolt in unit (minus the bulb and side plastics) for $120 shipped. Totally worth it.
