Default Powerhaus Main Bearing, Still Available?

Wondering if anyone has a source for this:
Seems like a great solution for #2 bearing failure, allowing more oil to be spun (for lack of a better word) out to the rod bearings.

I wouldn't be happy decreasing bearing surface area so dramatically.

The standard main bearings already have a groove like that.

Didn't know that. I'll be dissassembling my engine in a few weeks for a bottom end rebuild.
So, stock main bearings have the oil groove? Has it always been this way?

David built my motor. I have these in my car. He just got married last weekend after his wife passed years ago. I could give him your information if you like.
