Finally getting the car painted!!!!! Phase 2 with pics
So this was step 1 getting the car ready. Well at least tried too. Ran out of time. So i couldn't part out most of the car. That being said the body shop will take care of the rest. Its going to be painted the same color red. I have a S2 rear spoiler going on that will be painted black and the front Air spliter which i will coat with Rhino liner.
I need black door cards if anyone has them. 2 studs broke due to rust on the rear spoiler that goes underneath the bumper if anyone has that part for a good price.

If the studs are part of the body, just cut them off and weld new ones on. It can even be just a cut down section of threading. Its going in for paint, so now is the time for that sort of repair.

I was thinking of just drilling the little section of thread thats in there and then putting in a self tapping bolt of a size bigger. The owner told me he prob wont start it until next week. So if i can get a good on in mean time then i'll just do that.

I would like to see a shot with the hood open if possible. Is there duct work done between the bottom of the hood vent and engine side of the I/C? Just had a discussion last night with Mark and Beni from D-9 about this type of project. It was concluded to not be cost effective on 951 for the street, but more for a track application The frame rail with hood latch receptacle and headlight bar are hard to get around.

From the pictures posted, it appears you still have the pop up headlights. Are you removing these in the furture and going with a set up like D-9 offers? I would love to see the picture, thanks. Because the duct work was going to be so difficult, I opted for their louvered hood vents. I feel I should get sufficient cooling with these for my purposes. My car will not be raced, so most likely don't need the vents either, but thought they looked cool and are functional as well.
