Your fusion is looking better. I can see where you paused to adjust your filler feed....try using a longer piece of filler and holding it far out and work it inward with your hand holding it in one place on the rod. Feeding it through your hand will take some practice...when not welding do it with a pen or something in the meantime and soon you'll get smooth motion before you know it. Keep it up!

You know that eastwood has a money back guarantee (either 30 or 60 days I dont remember) so you can buy it and if you don't enjoy it as much as you think you will just send it back!!

its a whole lot of fun and possibilities for $899

That does look like a good deal and I might have bought one if I had known about them. I bought a nice Miller Mig a couple of years ago and it quit on me last week, right when I had a big job that had to be done - naturally. So while waiting around for the repair, the Miller dealer sold me one of these, its a combo machine - Mig/Tig(DC)/Stick. Really I just wanted a backup for the MIG but this one is dual voltage and much more portable. The best part is that it can be connected to two gases at the same time so, switching from Mig to Tig is just 10 seconds.

I won't show my first run at it but its very easy to use (on steel)....Bruce

^ You cannot weld Alu with a Dc Tig....need a spool gun for the Mig to do so.....and everything over 200 amps regardless of machine you need a watercooled torch plus your dutycycle goes way down with the smaller welders when you push their amperage limits.

yeah, the eastwood duty cycle is 60% @ 200a and I'm sure they are being optomistic but for me playing in the garage its fine I guess.

I would recommend you buy a name brand like Lincoln,Miller, Hobart ... etc
Like anything , you get what you paid for.I purchased a Lincoln Square Wave 200 a few years ago because i was tired of paying somebody else to weld
my aluminum parts and having to wait for the jobs to be done.
I carry a portable Lincoln Mig Pack in my race trailer , which helped out a lot of people over the years but i needed something to do my aluminum repairs at home.
There are a lot of knowledgeable welders on these forums and i'm sure you will get a better recommendation !

Cheers
Phil
