does anyone know how to properly file these to fit. I know you take the ring, put it in the cylinder and user a feeler gauge, but what is a good measurement on the feeler gauge? any and all help is appreciated.
here's the info from LR.

Each Ring manufacturer specifies a range of end gaps for each ring, compression, and oil. The gap is different for say a Turbo engine vs a NA engine and sometimes they will give different spec for a street engine vs a race engine. The gap is dependent on the bore so you should have gotten these specs from Lindsey. Give them a call if you didn't.

Get a piston ring grinder:
And do this:
Ring gap is talked about by LR, read all the way through:

From LR site:
Q: I bought the LR piston rings. what gap(feeler gauge) should I go for on each ring so the rings fit properly.thanks,Dillon
A: If this is 100mm Turbo application, we would recommend .015" on the Top and 2nd Ring, and .025" on the oil ring rails.
If this is 100mm NA application, we would recommend .0135-.014" on the Top and 2nd Ring, and .025" on the oil ring rails.

I just did this for my V8 race car. I put my right angle grinder in the vice and used it instead of paying $60 for the ring grinder. Worked very well. Remember to debur the rings after grinding.

You can get a hand grinder on ebay for about $30.
The factory ring gap specs are 0.008" - 0.018" for the top two rings, and 0.015" - 0.055" for the oil rings.
Edit - I spoke with Mike Lindsey and he told me their rings are a different material than stock and thus must be gapped different from stock.
