Default FS - RARST rods and pistons

These are from an engine I bought a few years ago. No idea of the mileage on them, but everything's in decent shape. Rods are straight. Pistons skirts are shiny, but still have the "ridges" (Not worn smooth).

I'm keeping the block but going a different direction with rotating assembly, so no need for these. I'll also have the 2.5L crank for sale here in a few days.

Asking $150 + shipping. I believe I can get them in a medium USPS flat rate box, so shipping in the continental US would be $12

Dont need the pistons but may be interested in the rods if you would sell them seperately.

Could do, I'm not even sure if I would ever use them so no problem if someone else wants to take the rods.

I replied to Jeff.... If you (blade) want the rods, I would split them up and sell to both of you.

I'll ship them anywhere, as long as you cover the cost.

Deal fell through on the pistons.

I haven't heard back on the rods, but I'll keep Blade's name on them until I hear from him.

I just split the price down the middle, so I'll let the pistons go for $75 + shipping (medium flat rate box = $12 in cont. US).

Tolerance group 1. All rings move freely. I'll get a measurement of the skirt as soon as I can find my calipers.

On reflection I have to go with aftermarket forged rods for a 3.0. Let someone else have these rods Mark.

These FORGED rods were used in the very early NA 944's, and all the 951's. They're a bunch stronger than the (later) NA 944/968 rods. I use them in stock race engines; not a power improvement, just a durability thing.
