Guys I have my stock 01 911 hollow spoke turbo twist rims off my 911 sitting in my garage. Will these work on my 88 951?
Sorry if this has been asked in the past. Are there any good photo galleries of various rims on the 951?
Thanks
Lane

IIRC, if they are off a '01 TT they should be solid spoke not hollow...either way if wide body wheels, won't fit 87+ 951, if narrow body will fit but need to remove front wheel bearing caps

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes they are hollow spokes, my 911 is a late build for an 01 so it was equipped with the hollows. I just wanted to see if these would work since they are sitting here. Went with HREs on the 911. I just wanted to change up the look on the 88, although the phone dials were repainted and finished I just wanted to update the look some.

There have been some threads on here showing different wheels on the 944/951, below is the first one I found (9 pages worth):

Do they fit? = No
Can they be made to fit? = Maybe, but it depends how much fender rolling, pulling, and camber you feel like running.
Should they be made to fit? = IMHO No

since you already have them, worth a shot carefully trying them on, remember to remove the front bearing caps(still a very tight fit on the hub IIRC) and SLOWLY lower down the jack...narrow body wheels rubbed with outer lips with 255/40-18 rears on my old 951(picured above), maybe a S bodied car with further fender rolling/pulling with camber will fit??

If you do happen to try to fit them, can you take a picture of the rear? I mounted a set of these things years ago (and they stuck out a full inch) but never took a picture to show it. I think doing so would help show folks how much fender pulling is nessesary.

I had to roll the fenders as much as possible but I did not need to stretch the fenders much at all.
Here is a post from another thread showing how my car looks. If I am parked next to any other stock 951/944 S2, no one will notice any difference.
