Ya know I hear ya on the e85 ... its weird but there are some that say the e85 will help my situation
For now it looks like a I am going to try the test w/o the e85 and see how it goes
I am changing the O2 sensor just to be on the safe side The old plugs (only 1000 or less miles ) were pretty dirty (oil and carbonized ...)

I wonder if I can ask the smog guy here if he could run the test that way?
I don't know if that would help in my case but its a good tid bit to know
Thanks guys

Default I PASSED !!!

Well I finally passed
Thanks to Tom who saved my ***
I never would have passed without him
Its really surprising how little you can tune the SMT6 and see the numbers from the smog test change so dramatically..
In the end:
The New-ish cat
plugs
O2 sensor
and oil change,
seemed to make a difference..
We did re-tune the SMT 6, but I think that Tom said that we went with the original #'s that we failed with on the 1st test...
So the above must have made the difference ( the only year old plugs with less than 1000 miles) but did they did look kinda fouled...
I was running rich with that KLR issue I had ...( broken solder joints on the CB )
Thanks to all for your advice guys and
again to Tom who saved my *** !!!
Best regards
Ed

Awesome news, Eddie! Does this mean you're going to drive your car more? I still have mine and I'm on the fence with whether it's going to be moving on or not. Hopefully I can get mine through the test as well.

Well I hope so ...
Now that the electrical gremlins are hopefully gone, I should be good.
If your cat is good and you tune it right you should have no issues
But the visual will cause you issues if you dont revert back to stock

Best regards
