Patrick it's freezing and snowy way up here, send some warmth. Hope the fires settle down soon.

My thoughts go out to those of south-eastern Australia struggling with the bushfires. It's been 35+ degrees C here in Brisbane which is hot enough. At least we're reasonably free of the fires here!

Yup. Hard to believe some people still don't believe in global warming. Another "hottest year on record"...

Hey Mirage, what part of town do you live in? Might need to get a 951 beer one of these days soon!

ps Global warming is real. Why, whatever, but it's time to pay attention, no matter what you're all about.

Fair call!

Porsche does a good engineering job doesn't it. I did a skid pan lesson in it recently, and litterally half the field of cars overheated water, power steering systems etc etc. That included HSV's, AMG C63 mercs, Evo's etc. All went home injured. Myself and another person in his 997 TT did the same event, and the temp gauge didn't even budge from normal. Nothing! The contrast was incredible. We just watched the field die around us!

They are indeed built very well. The old saying of them feeling like they're hewn from one piece of billet steel still rings true. Glad to see you're having fun in it Mark! Hope to see you later this year.

The week of winter finaly passed here in the desert south west. Back to the 70s. We hit 117 in 87 or 88 iirc. I don't remember the date but I remember the day. I bought a coke and a chocolate bar in a gas station and the chocolate was melting by time I got to the car.

I remember the grass land fires when I lived in Gainesville Florida 98-02. The smoke would cause wrecks on the highway and the whole town smelled like a chimney. Best of luck to you down under.
