No I didn't. It's good to know he knows the Motronic inside and out.
But on his website you get only the note to send a quote request for his services. Thus I took the easier way and ordered Plug'n Play by Joshua.

meanwhile I came across another 944 supporter in UK
Our 944s are still alive.

I've been thinking about the m tune for a little while now. Good to know josh is so trusted by everyone here. Will definitely order from him once my car is ready for it.

This.

It took a while to get my M-Tune and it never crossed my mind that he was going to take my money and run. If you never get your package it's because the postal service lost it. If that's the case the package should be insured and you will have to be patient and work things out.

Would I see any performance increase by replacing my Vitesse MAF & chip board with the M Tune?

Vitesse has been around longer than Rogue Tuning and has gone through a few iterations. So, unless you are running something really old I doubt you would see any performance increase.

Please don't turn this thread into a Vitesse vs Rogue thread, it has already been discussed(search). It really boils down to personal preference.

Did he build a new DME from scratch like Rogue?... http://roguetuning.com/rogue_tuning_ecu

Didn't think so.

Just bugging you.

But seriously, anyone else excited about Rogue's new DME's?!

As far as I can tell that is not a copy...it is a completely different ECU with there own software. Rogue Tuning's is a true copy in the fact that it is identical to the original except it's a modern day design. You can run any standard chip in his, even the original chip from the factory if you wanted.

I would expect that changes would need to be done to avoid trademark and patent issues. Maybe this car is too old for Porsche to care about this anymore. In any case, the wiring harness shorts in the engine harness are the biggest issue with these old cars. Solder issues and blown driver transistors in the DME are easy to fix but they are normally related to the failure of the harness or water leaks.

Well I was wrong about it being a copy. It's just backward compatible.
