Removing Oil filter console

Hi,
Just put a new engine in the '89 951 through the gracious help of my friends.
After installation, I noticed that the oil lines were weeping, and was going to get new ones, but the cost is out of out of line for what they are. I have a line on adapters to allow me to move to AN lines, and get reasonable lines made at local shops, but installing them in the console beneath the oil filter is not possible.
Can the 4 bolts of the oil filter console be removed with the headers in place? If so, I can pull the thing and replace the fittings w/metric to AN fittings and get proper lines in the car.
Thanks!

If you hang the PS pump out of it's mount, and remove the sway bar brackets, you can get it to wiggle out without pulling the headers. Make sure you loosen the oil filter before unbolting it from the block as you will have to remove that to get it to slide past.
