Side exit exhaust?

Side Exhaust
Here you go! Pipe shown has a SuperTrapp end on it and can be used to install a "Laguna Seca" muffler for sound restrictions. Fender has some "modifications".
Good Luck! John

Ps that pic looks very close to tyres and brakes re heat dissipation.

I can't even fit a jack between the floor and my car, where are you planning on squeezing it out?
If you're going to do it i would send it through a panel. Also, you'll have to do something to the backend to make up for the big hole you're leaving open.

I will probably be doing something like this next summer to my n/a
I plan on widening the spare wheel well towards the muffler side in order to fit a 50 liter cylindrical lpg tank and i will route the exhaust to exit in front of the rear wheels on both sides.
This mod kills 3 birds with one stone
-looks cool
-the tips will be easily removable and the holes in the rocker placed in such a way to have access to the torsion bars
-it will eliminate exhaust gasses coming through the window when it's open because of the 944's aerodynamics

She isn't pretty, but this mod saved 25 LBS of exhaust and has worked really well. I moved the catch can, and heat doesn't seem to be a problem. I modified a stock downpipe and added a piece of an old downpipe off my buddy's Suburban. Total cost: $5 in welding rod.

i have crawled underneath my car before and contimplated a side exit exhaust, this is my initial idea. i would surround the exhaust exit with thin titanium plate for its low thermal conductivity, this should eliminate burning up the paint in the heat affected zone. this is a practical area to exit if you still want to keep the exhaust tightly packed under the car, while still being able to utilize a cat and muffler. you still would need to create a divider between the exhaust wheel well area, in order to protect the rear tire.

That looks more like it West.
I've always been partial to this pic as far as location and installation.
