Default Balance shaft Timing marks...

I replaced my timing belt, cam seals, and front main seal and O-ring last night and I gotta say I feel much better now that they are all new. When this engine was put together, it was put together without installing the balance shaft belt and now I would like to put it back on. After installing the new timing belt on the car and looking at the balance shafts I didnt notice any marks to set the counter waighs timing. Does anyone know how or where those marks are??... It has always ran fine without the balance shafts but I just want to put it back on.

Thanks

No wonder I cant find the timing marks for the balance shaft... The timing marks are located on the plastic timing covers and I dont have them mounted on the engine... lol!!!

Thanks alot Refresh the next time I do the timing belt I will mount the timing covers.

You can also use about 7 o'clock on bottom balance shaft and about 1 o'clock on the top balance shaft with cam gear lined up at TDC. I run without the covers also.

I run with the back cover, but not the fronts. But, if you're going to run open, make sure you have a belly pan.
