Default New here...

Hello fellow 951 owners. I'm new to this forum and I would like to take the time to introduce myself to the rest of you guys with my very first post.... Hello my name is Chris . I have a BEAUTIFUL 951 Turbo which has been in my family for close to 10 years now and I recently put tons of money into it. Everything from Lindsey racing and I could not be happier. I was really debating on being apart of this forum but I decided to be apart of the 951 community instead of being all to myself. Also, I am willing to help anyone that needs help with their car.

Thanks

I've played around with it but would like a professional tuner to really get the tune just right.

Thanks man... Love the black on your 951 man. They look awesome in black. BTW, I've heard great things about the Vipec EMS how much did it cost you??.. I was debating going with a standalone system.

Highly recommended as the stock DME is an achilles heel in these cars when you are after higher RWHP and boost numbers..think I paid $ 3,500.00 installed a few years ago...best I got in dyno numbers was 346 RWHP...

Update your profile and junk so people know where you are. Did you do the work yourself?

Thats not that bad man... I must agree that the DME in these cars really complicate things BIG TIME!! man.. Its really not worth the hassle to deal with. I think im going to do that in the very near future.

Really? What quantification can you give here? A stand-alone EMS does have merits, but calling the DME the "achilles heel" is a bit of a stretch. Additionally, the KLR is an excellent system for filtering /detecting knock in the 951 - something I consider a main reason that many of these cars are still on the road. This system is light-years ahead of many stand-alone EMS systems "voltage-threshold" knock detection methods.

Some of the highest-hp 951s have/do run the DME...

Lethal951 - welcome aboard!
