Default Well going in for round 2

Well as many of you know my T04B install didn't go as planned. So tomorrow starts round 2, I got a nice little box in and in it is a T04E So hopefully this will go the right way.

T04E Specs:
Housing .50 A/R
Compressor
Inducer: 50.8mm
Exducer: 76.2mm
Turbine
Inducer: 65.5mm
Exducer: 56mm
Hotside Housing KKK Replica 8

I think this will be a nice upgrade from a k26/6 with street driving in mind. Any ideas on power output?

Well guys started about 2 hrs ago, got the intake off, fuel rail, vac hoses, maf, intercooler pipe and a few odds and ends. Turbo mount bolts came out super duper easy, just have to until the exhaust and shes out. Started to rain here so will wait till morning, should have her done by mid afternoon depending on rain.

TO4E 46 trim... weird, you rarely see those or their smaller cousin the 40 trim. I'm looking forward to the results, that turbo is kind of inbetween the K26/8 and the K27/8 or 50trim.

Sadly no, I am at the mercy of the elements. Praise God that the rain looks to have stopped so I can get this baby done

Very true, my goal is generally around 280-300whp at 15-18psi so my expectations should be realistic. As old as the motor is and I haven't changed the Headgasket yet so I don't wish to push my luck.

you'll probably get 320 rwhp, pointless going over 18 psi with that turbo by looking at the compressor map, you wont make over 320 rwhp over 18 psi as you're going to be at the limit of the compressor.

17-18 psi would be the peak of this turbo.

Well car is done.. or so I thought, I realized after getting the car together that I forgot to get the down pipe aligned and bolted to the cat pipe.... So whats the best way to get that attached? Mine doesn't line up.. I guess take off the from the cat back and bolt of the down pipe and then attach the best back?

That's a tough one. I usually start the bolts on that flange when I start the nuts for the crossover pipe and the turbo mount bolts. I usually disconnect the catalyst(I have a swapable cat pipe, if you don't just disconnect the cat-back) and leave the wastegate connection as is. That gives me enough play to get it lined up. I try to get the bolt at 7 o'clock first, then you can rotate the cat section to line up with the other two bolts.

Well still haven't got the exhaust attached, I'm going to disconnect the cat section and get the turbo side lined up. I took it to a shop to let them deal with it and they were unsuccessful, I don't think they unbolted it. Any who I did get a little boost at one point and holy cow kinda scared me at first.

I hate to say it, but you may have to tear back in there and loosen up the turbo mounting bolts to get the downpipe to line up.

Ya I found that out lol, just got her done about an hour ago, tore it all down again for Round 3. Boost is great, running about 10lbs so far till I know all is sorted. I need to get an oil restrictor for the feed line, didn't use one since it's a journal bearing, but I see a little oil puddling in the intake. Car drives great though at the moment.
