Repaired 2007, driven 2008-2012, still being alright.
Welded and machined. Cost about 30$

4140 cold-rolled. Eventually the welded cast will heat cycle fatigue and fail. BTDT

I sent Zims an email asking if they had one. Ian at 944online.com said he may be able to get a refurbished one in a couple weeks and Paragon said about a month until they may have a refurb.

That's exactly what I used back in the day. I originally welded and machined the factory cast TOB profile and it snapped after a few 1000 miles. I made one out of 4140 cold-rolled steel and beefed the ends. I sold the 86T car years ago in S.Carolina when I left the Air Force. I remember spending hours on the Bridgeport making that fork.
