Default Road Trip Route, Nov 4th KS - OK

Omaha NE to Tulsa OK before heading home. Mapquest has two basic routes, 1. Omaha - Kansas City - Joplin - Tulsa. 2. Omaha - Topeka - Tulsa.

Best "simulated route" and best roads, less than 10-15 minutes between the routes and I can make that up with ease, just want the best roads with the least amount of small towns and that's looking like the Kansas City route. Mapquest said 21 hr + home from Vegas many years ago and did it in 18 hr 42m

Wouldn't mind a PM or two from the Kansas RL along that route, just in case. Thoughts and TIA.

Not sure on the roads from Omaha to Topeka but from Topeka I-35 to Wichita (75mph) is all interstate. You can take it all of the way to the cimmaron turnpike (80mph) into Tulsa. If you get tired and want to stop for a while in Wichita USA you are welcome to hang.

thanks Craig, ran that route and it's showing 22 min longer but I'd rather deal with interstate speeds(and V1) than other two lane stuff. Thanks for the offer but have hotel reservations in Tulsa then appt next morning for some items then home but, I might just look into hotels there just in case Omaha departure gets delayed. I could spend the night, get up early next morning and still make my 8 am appt.

8 bolts and the engine is out on the track car, will be at Mayfest and may try an early run at Barber if my schedule works out.

If I avg 78mph, I'll cut it down to an avg of 6hrs, leave at 4 and be in Tulsa by 10-10:30. I'll have to stop for fuel once, just depends on mileage, not that I give a rats A$$ about that.

About time to change the avatar Craig, why not the 924GT, that thing is a beauty! Did you ever sell the S2?
