Default Auto tensioner

So this winter I will be changing my Timing and Balance shaft belts, my car is a 1986 and doesnt have the auto tensioner, My last car 1987 924S did and I think it was easier to setup the belts, How hard would it be to install a auto tensioner on a non tensioner car?? Also is it worth the extra money for those Kevlar belts?
