Default Power steering

Hey guys, my power steering failed last night, its an '88 951. I thought it had thrown the belt again but on further inspection the belt is in place.

I use the stethoscope and the pump is really noisy, so I'm guessing it's broken up inside.

Do you guys have any other suggestions as to the problem, there is still fluid and I can't see any other issues, I can't imagine the rack would go from working to absolutely nothing in a second which is what pointed me to the pump.

Has anyone used one of these

Also in the ad it says models without sensors, what are they talking about
Thanks

Kim
