fixed [evidently, i was typing too fast]... pardon me.

i never meant to call it a junk car swap meet.

to say such a thing would have been totally uncalled for and an afront to this fine automobile and her owners.

Why is everybody busting on the 944 turbo. The guy did get away. Didn't he? He could have even received some pointers on how to keep a 25 year old car running from the list or Clarks garage for all we know. I would have liked to see the police catch him with a 944 turbo squad car. But I certainly choke this up as a victory for the 944 turbo.

btw I have proof of my 951's it's documented and I do my own tuning
Is this going to lead to "Can I turbo my Wife" threads?? How long does it take your wife to spool up?

Funny. I was venting my coolant system last night on a industrial street near my place (didn't want to wake up the kids or neihbors), polices stopped and ask for my license and also did a registration check up on my car. They where cool afterwards, asking tons of questions on my car.

Cops loves the 944 in my area, I had two of them that came to check out my old 944 when it was for sale.

The car is probably stolen. The lock cylinders in these cars are so worn its pretty easy to get into them.

nobody's busting on the 944T. the RL patrons from all over took the time to poke a little fun at the car whose reputation for tuning gremlins and costly repairs (that border on the obscene) precedes it. this is not a referendum against this fine auto.... and we're not laughing at the owners, but laughing with you.... and even many 944T owners couldn't hold back but to join the chorus in a bit of ribbing.

Totally agree
Maybe, he chose the 951 because he thought it was the best getaway car, lol
Ever watch those police videos on TV? It's always some pickup truck or van losing control at speed and/or when turning. That wouldn't happen with the 951, lol

I also like the blurb about: "using an 'expensive' getaway car"
