Rob bank. Run out and get in to waiting getaway car. Hit key... no start. Pop hood latch, get out, hear police sirens approaching. Jiggle S&R sensor wires. Get back in car, hit key, still no start. Get back out, jiggle sensor wires some more. Get back in car and try again - car starts. Get back out, shut hood, get back in car and put it in first, just in time for the cops to block you in.

My bet is that he got the 951 for cheap and now got a quote from the local mechanic for a clutch job. In his desperation he turned to the internet and searched if it could be true that this job could cost so much. His world slowly fell apart when he saw countless of forum threads with everything from headgaskets that blow every mile to timing belts that break and complicated rear wheel bearings demanding more special tools.
It was not long before he turned to the path of crime. Another victim added to the long list of 951 desperados.

No hear me on this, for those of you who claim the 951 to be unreliable, sell your frigging car it does not deserve you, I am convinced that those who claim that 944 turbo is not dependable it's because they dont understand the dynamics of the 951, Iam by far less smart than any of you guys that can fabricate build or design engine parts, but every single 951 that i have own were and are reliable, is a matter of anticipation and tuning simple as that and that my friends is something very few can do. For the pessimists in Spanish there is a term for guys like that "Babosos" for all those babosos on the board there is a kia waiting for you

Negating the turbo lag, ticking lifters, 2 blown headgaskets, crank bearing fiasco, water cooler seals resulting in milkshake crankcase, and the continual whine of the rear TT bearing, just to mention a few, I kept the 951 long enough. However, after having to machine my own 951 clutch fork and the weekend-long clutch teardown....I had enough and sold it. I can see why someone would have to resort to other measures of funding for "regular" 951 maintenance.

1. he doesn't over-boost, 2. he wrenches, 3. he runs new and used parts (and even recycles whole gutted tubs so Hans can make fresh bugwaggons to feed his family)..... he is the most interesting man the world....
and as those, whom i've had the pleasure to meet can attest, if you do those 3 things, you can dd any 944, S2, Turbo, or '68 without actually needing to rob a bank, and you could use a turbo for a capable gettaway car.... but you gotta keep shifting [cuz they revert back to gutless 4-cylinders when they're spinning too slowl].... so to be fair, this robbery could be an infusion of cash needed for a blown engine and the next max-boost, h.o. build..... or even a swap for a fancy V8.
