Since I have also upgraded to an after market oil cooler,Ron Davis radiator and have a SFR Stage 2 front mount on the way. My engine is a 2.5 Lindsey build with piston squirters, windage block, Wossner pistons, rods and drilled crank with about 13k on it now.

I really couldn't tell you anything about the cylinder bore walking.

Sounds like pertinent information you might have wanted to mention to the OP in the first place? ! But very cool. Turn up the wick on that one.

And it's important to note I was running around 350whp on 16psi. GT3076R turbo. I've seen K26/6s running 18psi... but not really able to hold anything more than 12psi at upper rpms. So every set up is different even though you are talking about the "same" psi. Apples to apples is extremely difficult to achieve here. Maybe it's as simple as wheel hp.

I say give the head studs and new gasket a try. See if the headgasket pops. A blown head gasket is just not a big deal and you will have your answer after many miles of smiles!

When I pulled out the Autothority chips and went to a manual boost control, I found that I was way happier with the car at lower boost, so I ran about 10psi on a rebuilt K26/6.

I was surprised how much more I liked the car on track at stock boost levels. I got a lot of use out of it in both configurations, and I wasn't much slower at 10psi than I was at ~16psi from the Autothority system in a substantially lightened, dedicated track car.

K26/8 Max951 chips, Webcam, open exhaust, EBC with 16PSI all the way to redline. Run a mix of 100 and 92. No issues yet but fingers crossed.

Always tempted to turn it up when i'm getting walked by a length. But I don't...

I ran 22-26 psi with E-85 for atleased 20-30 track hours with out problems on a stock block .
With a vitesse setup and updated fuel system. However my 120k miles rings did not like that, never had any issues with either headgaskets or other things.

Good point. Higher boost levels, the EGTs are higher and the engine does run hotter under the higher load. Important to keep the oil temps down.

The single stock cooler is not adequate for extended DE or race sessions. Even a second cooler (KISS) in series w/ the factory unit was not adequate for racing conditions during hot days. I have two in-series mocal coolers now (13 row and 19 row) mounted beside the radiator, not in front of it. And that seems to be enough to keep oil temps under control (which also helps control water temp) during full races.
