LS6 build complete - ready for Nationals
Many of you have followed the build of this car. We just finished final details, set up/prep and loaded for the NASA National Championships at Mid Ohio. If you're interested, live timing, play by play, and video are available via links at the NASAPRORACING website.
The car is finally "done" for now. The only thing that may get added is ABS (still unsure of that). We upgraded the rotors to 14" which made a huge difference. Tires are BF Goodrich R1's and brakes pads are Hawk 70's front, 60's rear.
Final improvements included a MOCAL motorsport DIFF cooler in the spare tire well, Saiku Michi improved vent system (had a lot of oil blow by). Finally have full gauge and telemetry including DIFF temp, fuel gauge, etc through the AIM system.

A lot of blow by on the brand new LS6?! Hell whatever, as long as it keeps blasting out hp. I have that same exact lift.
Good luck in the Nationals! What class are you in again? Kick some *** and represent!

Racing in ST2 (Super Touring 2) against a lot of new new factory Boss 302's from Speed WC and a number of fast Z06 Vettes. We have it choked down to 322 HP to comply with 8:7 to 1 HP to weight ratio. Rennlist's Eniac has solved the blow by problem. If you need any mechanical service in southeast Michigan, he is the man "f-ing Brilliant". Eniac will be my mechanic at the Nasa National Championships.

Since we're on the subject of blow by, LSXs, catch cans and PCVs...
I have a stock 2000 LS1, these came from the factory with crappy rings that blow by more-so than average. I had the intake track apart a few months back and cleaned all the oil from the manifold and the car ran like a scalded proverbial (you mean a stock LS1 can break the tires loose in second???). Two months later and it's feeling down on power again.
Question: is the LS1 or LS6 PCV setup better? I've heard it go back and forth on the LS1 forums. Should I just add the SM catch can and call it a day or should I add in the LS6 PCV as well?
And every time I see that garage I turn another shade of green.
