I recently bought a 86 951 for $1500 in rough shape. Body has rust painted over it by po, trans leaking, interior is all messed up...... Engine is perfect. Now I bought a 968 for $3000 in decent enough cosmetic shape, good interior, very hi miles, needs clutch, tune up, prob t-belt....but has a lsd trans. Should I keep both cars and fix the mechanicals, or do a turbo motor swap in the 968 and sell the rest? Decisions, decisions.......

part the 944T and keep all the stuff you'll need....
(including all the turbo parts, connecting rods, heads, computer etc).
for now, just drive the 968 and get as much stuff sorted as you can. the 968 motor will have to be rebuilt with very expensive components and lower compression to be able to take more than a few pounds of boost (the 968 rods can't be re-used, but you'll have the correct, 944T rods... also, if you did set up the 968 to run a few pounds of boost, the head gasket would fail quickly, as 20 years of coolant has likely, just about eaten it's way though already).
