Default Reccomendations for shiftlight placement

Looking to place a LED light for shift light supported by EMS, since I can. I was thinking in the guage pod on the A pillar.

Seeing what thoughts are.

Thanks
Steve

The plate opposite the high beam indicator is not used, but all the parts are there to support having it back lit. I use it as my "check engine" light for the EMS. There is also an unused up arrow in the right cluster. If you wire a super bright LED into either of these locations, I'm sure it will get your attention, even during daylight.

All great ideas, I was wanting to stay out of the cluster, I did not know if a LED on the pod would be sufficiant. Was not sure if I wanted an autometer Style.

Although this is a picture before I actually installed it - this is where I put my Autometer shift light. It is just in my peripheral vision so I like the placement. It also has a digital tach in the middle of the gauge which is nice.
