Default Intercooler is warped....Normal ???

Wondering if anyone had info on this. I pulled the header panel the other day and while I was at it decided to pull the intercooler. Do most intercoolers look to be in this bad of shape? The outside housing was warped not sure what could have caused that. Should this be replaced or can it be salvaged?

Wow!

I have a used stock one if you need one... Not sure I would re- use that, by suppose you could have it pressure tested...

Think your car may have had an accident in the past?

No accidents that I know of. Was wondering if high heat could cause this or is this only the result of blunt trauma.

Weird, never seen that. It's hard to get anything into the stock vents that would cause such a, "Blunt Trauma."

I wouldn't spend the money on pressure testing. Many listers, "Lart", will send you a used core for a few bucks. I'd send you one for shipping if I didn't give them away.

Doesn't really look like anything hit it. Wonder if it got water soaked, and then froze in cold weather causing the metal to bend?

Thanks guys. I didn't think it was normal but then again I've never pulled one. The stock vent was still on and it would have taken a large rock to make that dent. That housing is pretty stiff. Thanks for the offers but I have a local supplier who has one waiting for me.
