I think they will be a lot more compact from what he indicated to me, what they showed last year was just a rushed prototype.I expect they will be similar in size to the EFR turbine housings(also stainless), so more compact and lighter.

It's the Borg Warner EFR turbos that Rod's alluding to here. Wasn't Nemo using one? They seem rare as hen's teeth which adds to the allure. What's the latest Rod, you're always up with these sorts of things?

They are around, the sierra sierra used one as well (same 8374 size I think), but still not in easy supply, I think they had a few production problems, and I think indycar using them soaked up a lot of production as well. Turbo manufacturers seem to move very slowly. They keep saying soon....

Just a note, Sierra Sierra used the 9180 last year. Apparently around 800 awhp.

I doubt i will really.

Pauly, What is your peak hp? If Its 425 or below, I highly suggest the .63 Tial. It will be

ABSO-FU$$ING-LUTELY amazing. You'll love it. No where near as expensive as a true dual inlet, but HUGE gains in spool time. (from a .82)

the outlet is quite long on the EFR, would that fit on the 951?

not sure what the actual peak hp is, but i got 3.84v on the M-tune maf at 6200 rpm untill i find time to go to a dyno or josh releases the maf flow sheet i'll never know. but i do know is it's around ~375 rwhp is what josh reckons.

If i change turbine housings, i'll probably go something extreem and aim for a more flatter torque curve if anything.

.63 A/R can supply those numbers easy. What A/R are you running now?

I ran a 0.83 T3 a/r on a 2.5l 8v for some time and it is laggy. I see no reason to go above 0.63 on a 2.5l unless aiming for 500+ hp.

I run a GTX3076R with a 0.83 Tial turbne housing on a 3.0 with stock cam and see 15psi at ~3400rpm when controlling boost in open loop.
I can only imagine the very same turbo to be annoyingly laggy on a 2.5.

Paulyy, didn't you originally want to run the .63 Tial, but there were none in stock at the time?

That is correct. they had supply issues with the .63 at the time.

In 3rd i get 15 psi at ~3500rpm which really isn't that bad?

looking at the housing size flow rates, the gt30 .82 flows at 23-24 lb/min while the gt35 .63 flows at a very similar 22-23 lb/min
