^ Is this what is going to seperate this new wing from both the Deutsch 9 and A.I.R.? This one is going to be an exact replica with height adjustments just the same as the Turbo RS car?

Bump for pics, gosh I want to see this. Hopefully testing and fitting went well, I think they look good on Guard's red cars!

yeah when i bought that wing i had another in mind which had the correct aluminum slides etc installed. This one was an AIR which looked good but the adjustments almost caused me to get rid of it. After awhile i said screw it i just wanted the aero....

it had been my feeling that the D-9 spoiler [w/height adjustment] was gonna be a good one.... then a gentleman on the 968 forum bought one—and shortly after, listed it for sale. buying an expensive wing, then not putting it on the car seemed a bit odd, but, no clear reason was given. it reminds me about how the development of a car costs in the hundreds of millions of dollars..... then, [in some cases], aftermarket stuff gives the impression they could have built a better car with not too much additional effort. it might be true, but a lot of money is spent on stuff we never get to see.... interesting that a bunch of [993, Boxster and 996 generation stuff] like fixed headlamps, stylish steering wheels, modern conslole and interior trim, full-leather, fat speedlines and big brakes made it onto an early 968 Roadster prototype back in 1990 or '91.... too bad the cars never got this stuff during the 4 year production run. the RS wing is just another in the soooooo sweet category, compared to the stock spoiler.

They're rethinking some aspects of the mounting to make it clean and simple for both the 968 & 944 hatches (e.g. embedded nutserts, fiber mounting tabs, etc.). I think it's going to look great when it's finished.

$1000 is a little rich for me. I would consider $5-600 for a bolt on LeMans wing in FG reasonable.
Given that the turbo RS wing is much more complex with more fab work required (multiple pieces, adjustable flaps) I can understand the >$1000 price in CF. The LeMans wing I was hoping would be much simpler to produce and comparatively cheaper. However I may be missing something about the costs of working with CF.

CF is really costly, and that would be a huge piece to reproduce in pure CF so I could see the justified cost of a $1000 for it. That said, I am not completely sold on the Lemans wing for that price. Although, if you canned the idea of the Lemans wing and reproduced the deep 924 GTS wing complete with Porsche logo in pure CF weave in ready to bolt on form for a bill, I would like to see that.
Is anyone else with me on this?
