Why do guys do this? Easy. Twice a week someone with 3 posts and no introduction starts a thread asking a semi-serious question. I know this is usually trolling, but I've seen a troll thread go for pages and pages. I don't need pen pals, but we call this a "community" for a reason.

Easy solution.Don't read the threads.. Let those that want, help. Those that post negative to our new members make us sound like total a**s and discourage membership.

To answer the OP's question: yes, quite a few folks here are running the M-Tune, including me. I love it. Big-time part-throttle and low boost gains, car hangs on longer up top, spools up quicker... huge improvement in driveability. If you do a search you'll find LOTS of info on it.
It seems some early adopters who jumped in right when it was released have run into a bug with the software's MAP sensor error detection logic, so you'll find an occasional thread on a stumble as the motor transitions to boost. This isn't an issue on current software so if you buy new you won't run into it. As I understand it, anyone who reports this issue if they're running an older version is getting updated from Joshua for free. Even though Joshua has only been selling his tunes for the last year or so - he's been around for MUCH longer offering up tuning advice and tools free of charge. He's probably one of the most knowledgeable 951 tuners in existence.

I have an M-Tune. I went from an AFM chip to the maf, and saw a 15hp gain at the same boost level going from the AFM to MAF. and I have several threads on here about my dyno adventures detailing all of that. The switch wasn't as extreme (part throttle stuff) for me since my car ran pretty strong before the switch. The advantage with the maf is the ability to alter your boost as long as you have the supporting fuel/the ecu can make changes based on the maf/map readings to adjust your AFR.
(Note this isn't a feature only seen on the MTUNE, there are other maf vendors.)
The M-tune wasn't hard to install, and Josh is very willing to help troubleshoot if you have any quirks.

I was one of the early M-Tune adopters and after having had first hand experience with the Autothority, LR QUAD and Vitesse MAF products (all on the same car), the M-Tune product was the best for me. One of the nice things about the kit from Josh are the matched 80# injectors, which have the correct impedance for the 951 ECU (no series resistors needed!).

I didn't read Ben's reply as being unhelpful or dismissive. I think the main problem is that new members aren't aware of the Search function. It does get a little tiresome seeing the exact same questions being asked every week. Sure, people can choose to ignore them, but perhaps letting new members know about the Search function (which are on all car forums) it will save all of us some time.

Thank you Patrick. It was meant to be helpful, but also a gentle push towards being self sufficient.
To fwb, I search, every time, before posting. I try to only start threads when they are very symptom/car specific (troubleshooting), and the regular stuff hasn't worked. I also make sure to list 'I've tried X Y Z 1 2 3' to get things started off on the right foot.
9turbo51, did you have any specific questions about particular hardware, goals, budget, etc?
