Default The Saga Begins...

So...I've spent the last 6 months or so sorting this thing out, thanks to all your help from this 951 newb....

Now it's time for some add ons:

T04E (specs yet to be determined pending conversations with Charlie Brown)
Lindsey 3X Oil Cooler
Lindsey Stage 1 Intercooler

Couple other odds and ends....mostly fiberglass....

Well...it is down to these two....

Horsepower: 500 HP

The Garrett T04E 57 trim Stage 3 provides additional flow for your 2.0L to 3.0L project and features the T04E 57 trim compressor wheel with larger inducer and tip height than the 50 trim along with the high efficiency Garrett Stage 3 turbine wheel in a T3 0.63 A/R or 0.82 A/R externally gated turbine housing. All of this is combined with the state-of-the-art Garrett T Series full ball bearing center housing to maximize turbocharger response and performance.

Specifications:
Compressor: T04E 57 trim, 0.60 A/R
Compressor Inlet: 3” hose connection
Compressor Outlet: 2” hose connection
Turbine: T3 Stage 3 High Flow, 0.63 or 0.82 A/R
Turbine Inlet: Standard T3 4 bolt flange
Turbine Outlet: T31 4 bolt flange
Center Housing: T series water cooled
Bearing System: Full ball bearing
Wastegate: Requires external gate

Horsepower: 490 HP

One of the most popular T3/T4 hybrid combinations ever, the Garrett T04E 50 trim Stage 3 turbo features the high efficiency T04E 50 trim compressor wheel (78% maximum efficiency at boost pressures ranging from 7 PSI to 22 PSI) in a true T04E compressor housing combined with the race proven Garrett Stage 3 high flow turbine wheel in your choice of a T3 0.63 A/R or 0.82 A/R externally gated turbine housing.

But it doesn’t stop there! Now this highly successful performance turbo is available in a full ball bearing platform thanks to the state-of-the-art Garret T series full ball bearing CHRA (center housing and rotating assembly). If you’re considering buying a T3/T4 hybrid and want the ultimate in performance and response, the Garrett T series turbo line-up is for you!
Specifications:
Compressor: T04E 50 trim, 0.60 A/R

Turbine Inlet: Standard T3 4 bolt flange
Turbine Outlet: T31 4 bolt flange
Center Housing: T series water cooled

I'd go with the full bb chra with 50 trim comp. The difference in hp is minimal and you'd get instant transient response. Either of the choices would make for a nice set up given the supporting mods you already have and soon to be acquiring. Please keep us posted.

Transient response and sustainability are my objectives...the K26/8 response is great, but I plateau at about 125mph....though I must say I get there fairly quickly....need that last bit of oomph up top....

I haven't seen it yet, picking it up Sunday, but I'm pretty sure it's a Garrett body...it's a Vittese Stage 2 that I will further modify.....

You probably can't sleep waiting for it to come back...do post some pix of the new "massaged" snail when it returns.
