I think the smallest sold is about 3mm, but the same size (or larger) that you have to the rest of your system would suffice. I run 6mm in the 10'+ of tubing I run to my wastegate on the 928-turbo.

Sounds like you found the source of your overboosting issue.

no, this is the line from the mbc to the wastegate. not the line from the banjo to the wastegate. The experiment I'm supposed to try is to run without that line at all. as long as my mbc is closed, The cracking should have no effect.

And the verdict is....the mbc. Took her out to the track and had the exact same issue. I then disconnected the line from the mbc and had perfect 9-10lbs of boost in every gear. This car is a blast to drive when I can lay into it an not worry

Just had exactly the same problem. Overboosting, went through the same fault-finding, to find the MBC was at fault. Took it apart and it appeared to be sticking, so gave it a good clean and it's better but not perfect... Inclined to go to EBC rather than risk the engine on a $50 part. Anyone else see the same reliability issues with Black **** MBCs??

seriously. I'm guessing this mbc failed causing some serious damage to the car when I bought it (intercooler was split and turbo was trashed) $50 part that can cause an engine to blow, and its only a simple air valve. I might just leave it off for a while and run with 9-10lbs. its plenty fast for me to get into some serious trouble
