Robby is a really nice guy and always more then responsive. If he's not getting back to you, there must be a good reason.

He gets busy at times, but if you are patient and actually get one of his harnesses, you will be happy! I have his handy work on both of my cars and it is very nice stuff.

I'd try the VA guys (Joka and Aaron) to see if they are still making cables. Quality is just as good and I believe the pricing was very similar too.

Just FYI.
Robby sent me an email apologzing for the delay. It wasnt my intention to say anything bad. Just wanted to know if he was still doing the kits.
Anyways I just sent him my order. Shoot pics as soon as they arrive...

Thanks Robby

FYI
Robby responded back; request put in for a complete cable kit.
The problem with my car was that the voltmeter on car and DVM connected to the battery showed about 13.4v after starting. After driving for about an hour the voltmeter in the car and a DVM would show about 12v and the cable was warm near the battery connection. This was probably the cause of why I fried the original and a replacement alternator (did not notice the drop on the cars voltmeter until the second alternator failed, as I figured the original failed due to age). Installed a temporary battery connector from the local auto parts store and voltmeters show 13.4v and the cable stays cool. Cut open the original crimp on the battery connector and found it heavily corroded inside; externally the cable looked like new. I guess there is a limit to the lifespan of original Porsche cables.

Thanks Robby, looking forward to those cables

I am experiencing a similar issue... 13.3v at startup, and quickly falls to 12.0-12.1 after a little bit of driving.

Did you ever get Robby's cables? Did it solve your issue?

I have Robby's cables and Nissan alt upgrade and my voltage is never below 13.5 volts that I have noticed, even at night, with air on, big stereo, and all my high amp lights. I also have the ice shark lighting harness though, one original and one from Rob. I did make another mod though. I added a large 4 awg ofc stereo grade cable with properly crimped and insulated gold terminals and an inline 150 amp CB directly from alt output to positive terminal. I have done this on many of my cars and never had an issue. I used to compete in many stereo competitions back in the 80's, learned a thing or two back then with expensive Lestek alternators.

I received Robby's cables last week and installed them; thanks Robby. Volt meter on dash still reads low (suspect corrosion on instrument cluster connectors as all gauges read a bit low); but I am getting 13.4v at the battery all the time with the stock alternator. The low votage I had was probably the cause why it took me two attempts for the last two years and barely passed emissions testing those years. This year it passed with no problems and was not even close to the emission limits, just like when I bought the car four years ago.

How much is the cable kit? Was there ever a group buy started for this?

You need to PM Robby to confirm price and shipping; also check Robby's original thread on the cables that Grandpa#3 posted
