I'm not sure it actually increases boost, but it does allow the WG to stay closed for longer, enabling boost to spool more readily without bleeding. I had this on a previous car and it worked well.
my wg spring is weak and just won't hold boost at upper RPMs. Will this help me much? I was going to go with a tial, but if this will help I could go this route for now and wait on the tial.
