Default Strut swap question

Hey, just got my new paragon koni setup and was wondering... will i need a spring compresser to restrain the old springs when removing the old struts . I will be keeping the original upper strut mounts, so can i just undo the top bolt and jack the car up off the springs then undo the flange bolts at the spindle ( how much preload is on the stock spring)?

I just did mine a couple months ago, and I used the spring compressors. The compressors were free and super easy to use, I borrowed them from Pep Boys or Auto Zone or somewhere. They really are useful and it's probably a lot safer to use them.

Beautiful car, btw.

yes, you will need spring compressors, I rented some from Autozone, its like $30 but you'll get it all back when you return them.
