Default 23mm Rear Wheel Spacers on Turbo S

Just wondering if anyone has run a 23mm spacer on a late offset Turbo S with 9x16 CS wheels and 245/45 tyres?

I have 7mm shims on now and have measured. 15mm spacers would clearly be ok, 20mm looks just ok but I wonder if 23mm is a bridge too far.

I know the factory 21mm spacer with 65mm lugs will work, but can’t remember the remaining clearance.

Pic of 9s on each corner with 21mm spacers out back.

Just all the added stress you are putting on your 25 year old suspension components. Why not get a wheel that fits properly?

Because -

a) I already have CS wheels
b) I like the CS wheels
c) Pretty much any replacement wheel is going to weigh more than the combined weight of the forged CS wheel + a 23mm spacer (have you felt how light the CS wheels are?)
d) The stress on the bearings etc ("the 25 yr old suspension components") of 9x16 CS wheel + spacer is just the same as the stress of a "properly fitting" wheel with 23mm more offset (think of the leverage - its the same)
e) Its only 23mm of spacer, right - they are not that big (again, think of the leverage)
