Wilwood brakes on 86 951?
Hey guys I have a little question, I have a nasty habit of looking at preventative maintenance and I was wondering if the wilwood brake kits from Rennbay and 944online can work on an 86 Turbo? I like to search ahead and see what my cost effective options are whenever I have to replace/rebuild my calipers.
Please no bashing, I talked to a vendor and he never answered my question just gave useless opinion related statements.

If you re-use the caliper pistons, they are reasonable to rebuild. The pre-89 cost almost 3 times as much to rebuild compared to the 89'+.
For originality sake, I'd stick with the originals and rebuild them.

I rebuilt a set of 968 calipers with no issues. I did splurge for the pistons but I don't think that is essential. Are you looking to upgrade the brakes or just make sure that they are in tip-top condition?

The Wilwood calipers are an upgrade due to larger pad size, pad options, and piston size options as well. No one has put a dynapro caliper on the 86T using factory rear mount rotors and spindles, however it can be done.
