Default Gas smell on fill up

Anyone notice that when they fill up their fuel tank it smells like gas o/s the car?

Is there a vent that is allowing the smell to escape?

Check the filler tube... its rubber and if it never been done it probably needs to be....its under the rear carpet, and the metal panel needs to be removed for inspection....

Good luck

A couple other areas that you may want to check.

I have seen a few 944s with screws drilled into them from people mounting amps in the rear trunk area.
Another area is a rich running car with a rear hatch seal that is not sealing.

And the third very scary area has been mentioned but make sure it is not your fuel lines leaking above the exhaust..

Keep us updated..

Thanks.

Just wanted to make sure that I was clear that the smell is not present on the inside of the car, only on the outside.

Will keep you guys in the know.
