Default SFR stage 1 turbo install help: oil inlet and drain!

I got a sfr stage 1 turbo used but new and I am in need of some assistance. I went to go install it and the oil outlet looks like it will leak since the o ring isn't centered (look at picture). I think I need an adapter to make it not leak. also, the oil inlet uses a restrictor. should I leave that in or use the stock inlet with o ring?
I have heard of some people using an adapter plate for the outlet, but have searched and I can't find one
any and all advice is appreciated:

I installed the same turbo on my car and it didn't leak. I don't recall anything not lining up though, but I had the engine in the car so not everything was a s visible.

There is no "adapter," it's just a paper gasket made for the T3 flange. Keep the O-ring in there, put the paper gasket on top of it, and tighten the turbo down to the mount. For the feed you'll want to keep the restrictor. You'll want to make your own AN line to adapt the oil feed from the balance shaft.

Do a search for Turbonetics Super 50 Turbo. Your turbo looks just like mine, even the back plate is yellow which means it has the big shaft.

I have a SFR stage 3. It looked the same when I installed it. No leaks.

My Super 75 looked similar when I installed it. I even took similar perspective picture as you. I was concerned at first but anyhow it does not leak and I can see the edge of the seal on mine. Hope that helps.

Keep the restriction or that turbo will smoke like a forest fire. Also get a paper gasket for a T4 oil drain if I remember right. You can get it on ExtremePSI.. Use both the paper gasket and o-ring. This is common practice for hybrid turbos on these cars.

Hmm I don't recall mine having a restrictor and completely smoke free even at start up. Regularly ran 23 psi on race fuel and 18 psi on pump. Perhaps it had it and I didn't realize it?

The gaskets you linked are correct for the oil drain.

Maybe i missed it but is that brass adapter on the oil inlet the restrictor? What you can do is thread an allen plug in with the correct sized hole drilled through it. The plug sits flush with the rest of the oil inlet flange so you can use the original style oil feed line. I forgot what size restrictor was on my 60-1 HiFi but it was very small. Just match it with whatever is on that brass adapter.

In the picture i have the LR oil feed line adapter plate bolted on, but you get the idea.

What you are calling a restrictor may in fact be a filter which comes with the turbo from Turbonetics. In order to keep the warranty, they want you to use their filter. When I purchased my turbo from Tim @ SFR he said to take it out, but if I had a warranty issue, to put it in before I sent it back to Turbonetics. I have had no problems and love this turbo.

As for the bottom, I made an aluminum adapter plate the same shape as the base you bolt the turbo to. This will seal against the O ring. Then I made a gasket to go between the plate and the bottom of the turbo. Don't use the gaskets you can buy on line. They are too thick and will squish out the side and leak when you torque it down.
