I just got my parts today. May or may not do it this weekend, depending on how much time I have.

Does anyone know off the top of their head what the torque spec is on the bolt that goes into the cam sprocket? I couldn't find it on Clark's Garage.

Quick update.

I pulled it all apart toady. Turns out what was giving the belt grief, and likely the timing was the cam sprocket assembly was mashed up where it slides into the woodruff key. Once I got the cam bolt off, I was able to spin the sprocket a few degrees both ways, not actually moving the camshaft, just the sprocket where it was mashed. It looks like it is mashed up enough to put the timing out 1/2 - 1 tooth.

Sooooo, paging Lart, or anybody who has a spare camshaft sprocket assembly to sell. That includes the sprocket, plus the housing for the rotor that gets bolted to the sprocket.

'Partial'... Although the key didn't shear, it is fairly chewed up.

This just happened to me, I'm in the mist of repairing it, Has anyone installed those 928 offset woodruff keys, I read there is power to be made by advancing the cam timing 4 degrees, Anyone tried? Also I have a 87 924S camshaft.. Is that an upgrade to the 951?
