Yup. Working with TechnoDuck now, and that head is at the top of the list. He is even so kind as to offer to bring it to a known good machine shop, and then ship it to me. If Lart doesn't get back to me by Sunday night I am going that route!

If you get the head gasket kit, you can send him the valve seals that are included in the kit and the machine shop can install them. It doesn't take much time to do and you have new seals in the head.

Pretty sure I have an extra set of valve stem seals from the many head gasket sets I have gone through . All you really need are the valve guides which the machine shop can order. Pretty sure I can get them also through my worldpac account.

Whatever you think is best TD. On a budget but a few dollars here and there might as well be spent for the work going into it. Hopefully for that higher-than-expected price some of that is included or can be included, especially if you've done business with them before and will be there in person. You're on if I don't hear from Lart by end of the day Sunday.
