It is interesting to see that there are no dyno numbers for any of these manifolds. Maybe they don't make $1300 worth of power?

The horsepower per dollar graph is non-linear function, so suffice to say there are plenty of better "bang for your buck" changes unless you are making a ton of power already. For example, I made 450/475 to the rear wheels on a dynojet through a stock 951 intake (port matched to my head) on my 3 liter.

To have the stock intake extrude honed isn't that expensive. Last summer, I found a place in CA (hint: They don't specialize in just automotive parts. Those places are usually more expensive), that will do it for ~$200.

I'd love to see a before and after flow test for the extrude hone process. Opinions seem to vary widely as to it's effectiveness on our intakes, but I've never seen any data...

Ditto - except before & after dyno chart.

I need an education on what those CFM numbers mean.
The way I see it is if each runner flows an average of 190 CFM, then times four cylinders; the intake manifold is capable of feeding an engine 760 CFM. This is enough for almost 500 bhp, and that's naturally aspirated; (boosted, squeezed down air, would be even more).
So, I don't understand how the intake manifold would be even close to being a bottleneck.
What am I missing?

Tried LR manifold on a modified turbo engine, still on it,with a super 61 turbo and LR are correct in their statements, that their manifold is for the high end of the power spectrum, and in my experience during a 24 hour endurance race,i wish i had the std manifold on it,the loss of low down torque even with a 3.889 Rear ratio made a slower car instead, through some corners.
LR manifold is the best IMO if you want 400 plus, otherwise
Stay with the std manifold.

I heard Milledge state he replaced a LR intake with a stock one and made more rwhp while tuning on the dyno. I don't know what, if any, other mods were done to that particular engine.

Yes, that's one of many alleged examples of questions hanging over the LR intake...

I have heard this myself, but from another source.
