Don't know why they are advertising it as a new episode when it looks like the 951 they already did a while back.

I question their decision to make a "track car" out of a nice daily driver. Hard to believe that's really the highest return for the money...

"Wheelah Dealah" If it's the one I've seen, don't get your hopes up too much. Worth a look but nothing earth shattering.

Default 951 Wheelers

IMHO they devalued a decent and rare car. Should have cleaned and repaired and stuck with the Cup I's and left well enough alone. The Orange D90's are awful looking on the car. A set of springs and new inserts in the front would have saved big$ over the adj coilovers they used.

Everyone seems to have an opinion about this show. Yea, they don't do all the proper service on the cars and don't have an exceptional level of detail in repairs. And yes, in terms of "profit" the margin is usually quite small.

I just wish there were more shows out there like this, us car folks don't get a lot in terms of interesting television outside of Top Gear or any motor racing.

I wasn't impressed either. Cool they did it, but I guess, knowing what I know about these cars, I cringed when they did all this "track day" stuff but failed to mention whether they inspected the 944 basics: fuel lines, balance and timing belts, and water pump.

And knowing that, makes me wonder about other oddball cars they do. Are they skipping over "important" model-specific stuff? How good of a deal are these buyers ACTUALLY getting? Sure it's got a fresh coat of paint and new seats but will it blow up 5 miles down the road?

Same here. I found it very disappointing. It was a very nice interior.

They called it "new" because it's new on TV in the states. As if the internet didn't exist.

+1 Why track a car that's such a nice stock example?

Anybody know what year the car was? It baselined around 230hp, not stock I guess
