Default Coolant in the Turbo (Cold Side) after headgasket job.

So, I will be quick to start with.

After a blown Headgasket at the track, I have replaced it. Head was completly refurbed, block was flat - all new gaskets and such - the proper way.

The headstuds are aftermarket HUGE ones from Heritage Motorcar Research in St. Pete FL.

So, after it is all back together, it starts and runs fine. After it heats up (fans cycle), and if I then rev it in the garage to maybe 3000 rpm, water enters, plugs foul, shut it down.

So, the oddest thing: there is water pooled in the turbo coldside?! All the intake tubes are wet, even the MAF.

So, is the HG leaking? Sounds to me yes, but would coolant puddle in the cold-side? Could the Turbo leak water into the Coldside?

I have just started this this morning, so will now do a Compression check . . .

Thanks in advance . . .

Check for leaks in coolant hoses near air intakes.

Just checked compression: all 175.

Heading out to rent Coolant System pressure tester.

Will see. . .

Sometimes you just have that "Doh" moment!

So, I never thought to check, but the intercooler was full of coolant from the original head gasket failure. Yeah, it made it all the way there.

So, after blowing that out, all is well. . . Runs like a champ.

Just in time for Homestead this weekend.

Thanks for the suggestions,

Thanks for updating with the solution. I am having the exact same problem and have been freaking out. Will try blowing out the intercooler and see what happens.
