Default Paintless dent repair on front fenders - Updated with a picture

I had some paintless dent repair done on the car the other day to take out a few parking lot dings - the guy is truly an artist and the results were amazing - but he couldn't get a few on the front fenders - apparently the front fenders are "double walled" so he couldn't get to the back side of the metal to do his magic.

Anyone have luck with Paintless dent repair on the front fenders, and if so, how did they get at the spots ??

thanks -

What spots...

In reality the only spots he shouldn't have been able to readily access would have been about 2 inches from 4 inches or so closest to the door back.. the rest of the fender is easily accessed with the plastic fender liner removed, from the front tip all the way back to the A pillar!

I've replaced my fenders in the past (damaged way beyond anything a PDR guy could do) and don't remember any section being double-walled. However, the metal is relatively thick compared to most fenders these days... Maybe he just didn't want to fart with it??

I too have swapped front fenders before and did not see any spots that were double walled.

I had work done on the front fenders... They did a fantastic job (charged for it too), it was a large crease about 10'' long... If it didn't come out so well I would have complained about the price (price was upfront).

These guys are straight up. (I live in Nebraska, remember....)

I'll take it back to them and have them take another look.

Here is the spot in question.....

That dent is back far enough that he prob can't get behind it with out unbolting the fender.

You can get to it through the drivers door area near the A- pillar - but they claim that the fender has 2 layers in that area so you can't press on the surface you need to in that spot.

Thair claim would be accurate... from the a pillar mount back it IS 2 layers, I have a fender off my car at home and can snap a picture of the inside tonight and post it up!

I have a similar "ding" in the roof between the sunroof and driver's door window towards the rear hatch.

Anyone know if a PDR will have luck in that area?

Thanks
