I'm so glad to hear it's back on the track! Tail happy? that's a surprise, never really thought it'll get tail happy with 315's slicks IICR on the rear.
it must be like a go-kart around the corners.
Just looking at boost logs, mine and yours are 400rpm difference. (i'd probably shave 100 maybe 200 rpm off if it was a 4th gear run)
the difference is the cam? and your head isn't stock?

Thanks guys. Yes of course you're right Bruce, that's the purpose of these shakedown days.
To add, we went out on smaller wheels and tyres than listed in the build thread. We had some older 265/285 Hoosier R80s and put them on 10"s all round. While they had only done max of 20 laps back at the end of 2010, they might have been past their best. Felt ok to the touch. Haven't fired up the traction control yet either. Still waiting to do one or two more additions before that moves forwards.

Here's a few laps with Paul in the car. You can see how choppy it gets, especially down the straight and he's short shifting to try and avoid tail out. Still, happy with this as a first time hit-out. You can hear the motor is more alive and the lightness doesn't hurt. More hp to come out of this basically stock motor. Bigger cam is the only difference internally.

That boosts pretty good when changing gear. any anti lag with the motec?
just a note, if it's a stock engine, shouldn't you not rev over 6700 to prevent from spinning bearings?
