Changed mine today when installing new fuel components. The filter looked ok but had seperated from the fitting, But the seal looked terrible. Hopefully it was the cause of my fuel smell.

I need to do this. I bought a filter but haven't looked at what is involved to replace. Did you use a write-up?

No pretty simple, esp since I had no gas in system

Pull fuel pump cover find best place to open system. Get ready to catch fuel, I would try to have tank low as possible. Once drained, pull the hose at the tank which attaches to the metal housing holding the filter. It has a 15 or 17 (really dont remember) fitting on it. Simply unscrew w/ wrench or socket and it will pull out the filter all at once. Screw in new filter, reattach hoses and done.

I bought the filter seal, but noticed it came with the filter. Heads up for anyone else ordering.
