I prefer to use Zerex G-05 in our front engine cars.

I've always used Prestone 50/50 mix. It's not like I've put a ton of miles or years on the car, but I stripped the engine down to the bare block with about 4 years of having the same coolant in it. Basically everything in the water jacket looked new. No deposits, no stains, no corrosion, etc....

Possibly. I know higher concentrations of propylene glycol have about three quarters the heat transfer capacity of untreated water. Ethylene glycol is a litter better, but I don't recall exactly how much. So, a majority of your cooling capacity increase will be from changing to a low or no glycol concentration. Unless the cooling system is considerably undersized, any additional heat transfer capacity, picked up by adding a wetter to straight water, would likely go unnoticed.
In addition to freeze protection, antifreeze has corrosion / biological inhibitors, and a lubricant for the pump seals. A water wetter, will typically provide these and should be the primary reason to use it.
Edit:
20% reduction in heat capacity when going from straight water to 50/50 mix ethylene glycol.

Is someone having cooling issues or something? Unless the car in question is being tracked, there shouldn't be any issues with any aluminum safe coolant/water mixture.

1. It gets rid of hot spots in the engine.
-This helps in our cars especially because of where the headgasket normally fails at. Some people believe this is due to hot spots in the cylinder head. (Not sure if this is a fact)
2. Should make the engine run more efficient since it helps keep the coolant temps more consistent(Once again not sure how true this is)
3. It runs very very low pressure. (This is for sure true.)
-This would be great for all of our aging cooling systems.
