I just got to thinking.... The arnnworx instructions don't mention different tensioning tolerences between using a new vs. used belt.... I am re-using my t-belt because it has maybe 400 miles on it.... Now I'm second guessing myself...

I followed the arnnworx exactly, but my tensions are a little off according to the Van's video... I can almost touch the top of the skid plate with my timing belt and the credit card is far from being held by the balance shaft roller....
I have not rotated the engine yet. Should I rotate it some then re-check the tensions...?

Going by the twist method they seem about right, and I can turn the water pump pulley with some force. No whine in the belts at idle. I'm thinking there ok. Maybe I'll re do the tension now that I know the proper value for used timing belt.

Please do yourself of rotating the engine at least 2 revolutions. I didn't my first time and what do ya know the balance shaft belt tightened up and squeeled like a super charger.

I could not get the motor to turn by hand. I didn't remove the radiator fans so I had little room to turn the crank pully and kept kicking back even with all the plugs removed... I started the motor though and it is smooth with no whine and I'm getting the 90 degrees and 180 degrees on the twist test. I'm thinking it will be ok, but I may re-tension with the gauge just to be certain.

I measured twice with the 920x. Really easy to use once you do it. Glad I bought it now. Crazy how many people do the twist method without problems though.... I'll let ya know if a belt falls off.....
