Default T3/T04E Fitment

Hey all,

Working on installing my new Garrett. I have two new flanges for the turbine side which still need to be welded on. First, I'm trying to mount it to the engine bracket. Anyone have experience with this? Perhaps I can grind on the bracket or make a spacer? I know there's oil passages inside it so I want to be careful.

You can see the close point in the images.

Thanks for the replys guys. I'll try grinding on that bracket.

Any advice for sealing at the bolting location (oil outlet)? Since there's a mismatch in the sealing faces, I was thinking I'd replace the OE O-ring and use a copper gasket.

Grinding was required on the mount for my T04B.

When I installed mine, Tim at speed force racing sold a mounting flange for the oil oulet. Might be worth contacting him to see if he still carries that part.

I just had this problem with my T04E. A new OE o-ring only leaked horribly. Using the o-ring along with a thick T3 gasket worked great. I didn't have to do any grinding with the KKK #8 hotside and T04E compressor.
