Default 8 piston calipers.. I WIN!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMG-Mercedes...item4163285fef

AMG 8 pot calipers. Part number 19.7661.04 (For when the ebay link goes away).

They aren't much more expensive than the GT3 6 pots, but what really got me was how they bolt on. AMG uses an adapter to axially mount them. Looks like it would be ridiculously easy to adapt those to 87+ spindles.

Nice, I saw these RS6 8-piston and 365mm discs posted on an Audi forum recently. Bit overkill for the size of car they were put on, but bling for sure.

Brembo's I'm guessing? I've always wondered about this...

FWIW I put the C32 brakes (4-pots up front and 2-pots in back) on my C230 and absolutely love it, except dare I say now it brakes better than my '89. Never thought I'd catch myself thiking about upgrading the S brakes, but...

I've seen some 10 piston calipers and other ridiculousness. That's about all I've got to say about that.

I posted this as somewhat of a joke..... however, I do really like how they are mounted. I know there are already adapters for the GT3 6 piston calipers, and the "Big Reds", but I'm half tempted to look for other calipers with the same mounting setup. They would certainly be easier to manufacture, and thus cheaper.

That AMG/Brembo caliper uses the similar adapter from a factory like 997 Turbo/GT3/GT2 etc. had with carbon brakes. Fabricating adapter is quiet simple task to do, so placement under non M030 car should be easy to do. Just find a suitable rotor for the setup.

And don't forget that you're increasing the unsprung weight!!
